Location

Estrella Mountain Regional Park is located at 14805 W. Vineyard Ave, Goodyear, AZ 85338. The park is established on19,840 acres of desert and mountains became the first regional park in the Maricopa County Park System in 1954. Located near the meeting of the Gila and Agua Fria Rivers in the southwest Valley, the park includes seasonal wetland or riparian area during our winter and monsoon rains. The majority of the park remains pristine desert, very similar in appearance to the landscape seen by the first settlers and explorers. The Sierra Estrella range, or Star Mountains, was once within the Mexican border, and remained so until the Gadsden Purchase in 1853. Today, many amenities are available to visitors, including the only grass picnic area (65-acres) in the Maricopa County Park System.

driving directions

From central Phoenix, take I-10 west to Estrella Parkway exit. Travel south to Vineyard Ave. Turn east on Vineyard Ave. to the Estrella Mountain Regional Park entrance on the south side.

There is of parking near Ramada 27. Park Near the Horse Stable and Staging area. We do recommend carpooling,

Please contact Estrella Mountain Park directly to see if overnight camping is available if you like to have those arrangements. There are plenty of hotels in nearby Buckeye and Goodyear for those traveling from out of town who prefer a softer bed.
