At 7,711 acres Newport News Park is not only the largest in the city, but is also 1 of the largest municipal parks east of the Mississippi. Newport News Park is home to several adventure races and marathons. The park also holds part of the Yorktown Battlefield and the Civil War Peninsula Campaign.

Camping at Newport News Park Campground is available to MedWAR racers and volunteers for a small additional campground fee in the E & F loop, which have been designated for our event. For reservations, call 1-800-203-8322 and tell them you are with the Mid-Atlantic MedWAR.
Max 5 people and 2 tents per site.
RV sites in A & B loop include parking pads with electrical and water hookups.
Heated showers and flush toilets, centralized sewage disposal station.
Picnic tables, grills, and playgrounds.
Laundry facilities, a campground shop for food and supplies, 24-hour security.
Pets welcome; rabies certificate required at check-in.
